In-person play-based S.T.E.A.M. enrichment designed by an Architect and mom.
Our classes are created for toddlers and preschoolers (ages 1–5) and the caregivers who love them. These small-group play experiences invite little ones to explore while caregivers connect and engage.
Each class offers something we all crave: meaningful play and meaningful connection. Come for the play, stay for the community, and leave with ideas (and confidence) you can carry into everyday play at home.
Can’t make our classes below? Submit a class request for your ideal time & location. If we get enough requests that align, we will work to provide the desired class.
Rowlett Block Party
A weekly, low-pressure, play space for little ones (0–5) and their caregivers.
Friday mornings (starting in March 2026), we’ll transform the back patio at La Casita Coffee (Rowlett location) into a simple, joy-filled play space with:
• Open-ended block building stations
• A cozy reading area
• Music playing in the background
• Space to move, explore, create, and connect
Kids can build tall towers, knock them down, crawl between block stations, flip through books, or just observe. Caregivers can sit nearby, join the play, or connect with others while keeping an eye on their little ones.
It’s hands-on, screen-free, and intentional.
Grab your coffee inside La Casita, then head to the back patio for an hour of meaningful play and community.
Your kids will have room to explore, and you will have room to exhale.
Perfect For:
• Babies, toddlers, and preschoolers (ages 0–5)
• Caregivers looking for connection and fun without structured class expectations
• Families who love open-ended, creative play
Farmers Branch STEAM Circle
This caregiver-and-me S.T.E.A.M. experience is designed to be play-based, simple, hands-on, and child-led within a gentle, predictable rhythm.
Each class follows our signature Read → Move → Build flow, which supports how young children naturally engage and learn:
Read: We begin with a short, engaging story to introduce a theme and spark curiosity.
Move: Next, we get bodies moving with a movement activity to help kids regulate, transition, and connect to the theme through motion.
Build: Finally, we do. This is where children explore the theme through a hands-on activity. This might look like building, experimenting, sensory play, or creative exploration. “Build” is about cementing understanding through action, not sitting still or getting it “right.”
Through a guided play approach, children naturally explore early S.T.E.A.M. concepts while working on fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, creativity, and confidence. The structure provides comfort and consistency, while the activities remain flexible for different abilities, and interests.
Caregivers are present to support and connect, without the pressure to teach, plan, or manage. We guide the flow, prepare the environment, and meet each child where they are.
Each week builds on familiar rhythms while introducing new materials and experiences, helping children feel safe enough to explore, try, and experiment.
Perfect for:
Toddlers & preschoolers (ages 1-5)
Parents who want intentional play without academic pressure
Families looking for a calm, consistent weekly routine.
