$25.00

This activity kit includes everything you need to read, move, and build your way through a fun Valentine’s Day-themed S.T.E.A.M. activity.

In this Valentine’s-themed activity, children build a simple catapult and use it to act as Cupid, sending various objects (aka “arrows”) flying through the air toward heart-shaped targets. Together, you’ll experiment with launching objects, retrieving them, and trying again, turning play into hands-on discovery.

As the catapult is pressed down, energy is stored in the launcher. When it’s released, that energy turns into motion, sending the object forward through the air. The object is pulled down by gravity, creating a curved path before it lands. By changing how far the launcher is pressed or where the target is placed, children begin to see how small changes lead to different results.
